A growing business

Brick by brick, step by step, the firm has come a long way from the Adelaide bricklaying business established by Nick Bianco in 1970. Nick began to collect a large inventory of bricklaying equipment - hiring out idle equipment, and selling excess stock to the industry. In 1977, Bianco Hiring Services commenced operations. Over the next three decades, many more businesses would form under the Bianco name. Bianco Builders Hardware soon evolved from Bianco Hiring Services, specialising in selling building and machinery products to the construction industry. Bianco Hire then began to focus on portable building, toilet block and site security sheds for the construction and event management industries. A 2007 addition to the Bianco Hire division was the Tower Crane hire section. In 1982, the Bianco Structural Steel division was formed, specialising in structural fabrication for the industry.

Bianco Reinforcing was established in 1998, manufacturing quality steel reinforcing from its Gepps Cross facility. Bianco Diamond Tools began operations in 2002, quickly becoming a leader in Australia's diamond tool industry, with branches in every major capital city.
In 2004 Bianco Safety was established and merged with Bianco Machinery to form Bianco Construction & Safety Equipment. Also in this year Bianco was awarded the sole Australian distribution rights for Sakai heavy compaction equipment.

Cutting edge facilities

Our-history-structural-steel

In 2007, the Bianco Group completed Stage One of its relocation to 145,000 square metres of prime industrial land at Gepps Cross, 8km north of Adelaide. This new state-of-the-art complex includes three separate facilities. The Hire division comprises 6,000 square metres of covered workshop and offices. Bianco Structural Steel has a 17,000 square metre workshop and three-storey office complex. Stage Two of the complex will boast 25,000 square metres of warehousing, a showroom, and ample office facilities.

Exploiting the resource boom

In 2007, Australia's ongoing resource boom prompted the establishment of Bianco's mining division, which specialises in the provision of products and services to the burgeoning mining sector. For nearly 40 years, the Bianco Group has continued to grow and develop to meet the needs of our customers. It's a commitment that we're proud of, and it's our plan for the future.
